Financial advisory firms are expected to comply with the advertising regulations, and guidelines set by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”). 

Financial adviser representatives are required to ensure that their advertisements are not misleading to the public. In practice, it is not easy to find a balance between the choice of words used in marketing pitches, and to comply with rules. Deep understanding of financial products come into play for compliance officers who review the advertisements.

We have specially curated a training program for financial adviser representatives and compliance officers reviewing compliance with advertising rules.

Our three-hour program covers:

  1. Understanding the advertising rules set by the MAS for product and non-product advertisements;
  2. Applications of such rules in website and social media page development, seminar materials and social media advertisements; and
  3. Case examples to apply the Dos and Don’ts in advertising.
